We are currently seeking intervention staff for a to work with pupils in various provisions.
The pupils have been negatively impacted by the fects of COVID and the lockdowns. As a result they have not have lost progress as well as academic confidence and are in need of additonal support through the form of an Intevention Tutor to ensure they make expected progress in the coming academic year.
Your role as an Intervention Tutor would be to devide schmes of learning to coinside witht he larning of the young persons traditinal classroom learning aiming to bring them up both academically as well as supporting their overall confidence and self esteem in their learning.
Please be aware that all applicants will be subject to background checks and will need a current DBS certificate (update service registered). Teaching Personnel can support your application should this be required.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm approximately, but you may be offered additional duties and responsibilities outside of these hours.
Schools require on and off support throughout the year depending on student intake and staffing needs, so there is always opportunity for contract extension and permanent roles for staff who are a great asset to the school.
The ideal candidate will have an outgoing and resilient personality, and be able to work on their own initiative in regards to ensuring that health and safety procedures are met, and the welfare of the children. You will ideally have experience of working on a 1:1 with a variety of ability levels, from GCSE to Functional Skills. The ideal candidate will need a proven track record in teaching, tutoring or have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
