About the Role:
B4Box require a forward-thinking, strategic Management Accountant who is CIMA qualified to Level 2, or equivalent. You should be experienced and proficient in the use of SAGE and excellent at financial reporting to stakeholders, used to report writing, and able to help the business grow. The role will be challenging at times and would therefore suit a patient and experienced finance professional who is trustworthy, reliable and committed to the organisation’s overall aims to improve the local community through employment, training, and the building and maintenance of local homes. In line with the business goals, you should be willing to impart your skills and knowledge on others in the business. we are looking for a part time role of 2/3 days, but would consider a full time role for the right candidate. There is also some flexibility around working location, with an expectation to be in the office for at least one day a week. 1. Production of yearly statutory accounts.
2. Production and preparation of monthly management accounts.
3. Monthly board reports.
4. Budget analysis and reporting.
5. Providing advice to the board on achieving value for money.
6. Undertake monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
7. Preparation and submission of yearly statutory accounts, including VAT returns.
8. Reviewing financial procedures and introducing changes where necessary.
9. Preparation of financial audits.
Note: This list of duties is not exhaustive and there is an expectancy to contribute towards other projects and support colleagues, in line with the needs of the business.
You will be an experienced Management Accountant, able to quickly get to grips with the finances of this SME and able to convey the financial picture clearly to the board and other stakeholders when asked to do so. You will take your responsibilities seriously and be a forward-thinker, ensuring we fulfil our statutory financial obligations and continuously seek ways to help the business grow. You will need to be be CIMA qualified to Level 2, or equivalent and be proficient in SAGE. * Proficient in SAGE.
* CIMA Level 2, or equivalent.
* At least 2 years experience as a Management Accountant, or similar.
* Confident report writing.
* Empathetic, supportive and willing to provide mentorship for learners.
* Experience in the Construction, Charity or Public sectors.
* Stockport resident.
* Committed to further training and development.
