We are looking for an innovative and motivated individual to support pupils between the ages of 2 and 7 in an SEN primary school in Salford. All of the pupils have an Education Health Care Plan and some of the pupils have profound, complex or challenging needs. Pupils' identified needs are profound multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD), multiple learning difficulties (MLD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Some pupils also have complex medical needs.

They have a curriculum that is meaningful, inspiring and enjoyable, promoting achievement for all. Through carefully planned holistic learning, pupils are enabled to achieve their best.

The responsibilities of this role include:
Supporting the teacher in lessons and classroom management
Helping to deliver engaging lesson to pupils
To attend and participate in any relevant meetings
To help children with their additional care needs (e.g. toileting, feeding)
The requirements for the role are:
Experience working with children or adults with additional care needs
A DBS on the update service
Be committed to working with pupils to help them to achieve their best
To support the pupils by understanding their individualised education programme (IEP), their level of progress and their communication systems (e.g. PECS / Signalong / Objects of Reference/Symbols)
